Kòrsou Connect takes your privacy seriously. This privacy policy describes how we collect, use and disclose your personal information in connection with your use of our software portals e.g. mobile applications and websites.

By using our app and software, you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as outlined in this policy. Your consent is the legal basis for our use of your personal information. You can withdraw your consent at any time. However, if you withdraw your consent to certain uses, we may no longer be able to provide our services to you.

Such as when you fill in a form, add information to your account, respond to surveys, post to community forums, participate in promotions, communicate with our customer care team and other Members, or share your experience with us. This may include health information if you choose to share it with us;
Information about assignments through our mobile applications and websites, including personal information of people for which you post assignments, make reservations or bookings by using our mobile applications and websites. It is your responsibility to obtain the consent of other individuals prior to providing us with their personal information;
Information about any other services booked or purchases made through our mobile applications and websites;
Purchase and sale transaction information such as your credit card of bank account information and the details of your transaction;
Information contained in any email messages, questions, comments, complaints or requests you send us;
Information you send to us true the Kòrsou Connect message services;
Geo-location Information. Such as precise or approximate location determined from your IP address or mobile device’s GPS depending on your device settings. We may also collect this information when you’re not using the app if you enable this through your settings or device permissions.

Technical information of your mobile device and connection such as brand, model, IMEI no., IMSI no. and the provider of your mobile services;
The date and time you accessed our services;
The hardware, software or internet browser you used to access our Sites, and information about your computer’s operating system, such as application versions and your language settings;
Information about which pages have been shown to you, site navigation details and links on our Sites that you follow;
Information you submit to our Sites in connection with sweepstakes, contests, surveys and other promotions offered by us;
Information, including images, contained in posts you make about Kòrsou Connect and its services on publicly accessible websites, blogs, mobile applications and/or community forums;
When you use our mobile applications, we collect and use information about you in the same way and for the same purposes as we do when you use our Sites. Our mobile applications also use the unique device identifier for the device on which you have installed our mobile application, as well as error reporting information if the application stops working properly;
Usage Information. Such as the pages or content you view, searches for contacts, assignments, Listings, bookings you have made, and other actions on the Kòrsou-Connect Platform or in the app.

PARTNERS

We may also receive personal information about you from our partners (collectively, our "Partners") to the extent that you have given consent to the Partner to provide us with such Personal Information.

SPECIAL CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATA

We do not process special categories of data, namely, sensitive personal data that reveal racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, and the processing of genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person, data concerning health or data concerning a natural person’s sex life or sexual orientation.

HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We will only collect and use your personal information for the following purposes, except as permitted or required by applicable law:

Allowing you to track, manage and access your Kòrsou Connect and services on our mobile applications and websites;
Allowing you to gather and view your information on our mobile applications and websites;
Processing transactions that you have submitted to us and displaying your account history to you;
Acknowledging your comments and/or replying to your questions, complaints and requests;
Communicating with you and providing you with information on and direct marketing of special offers or promotions (including sweepstakes and contests) that we believe may be of interest to you;
To serve advertisements to you in various marketing channels, including but not limited to social media, search engines, mobile apps, and various websites including our own mobile applications and websites;
To notify you of offers of Kòrsou Connect products and services that may be of interest to you;
For market research. We sometimes ask our customers to take part in market research. Any additional personal details that you give us as part of the market research will be used only with your consent;
For profiling and analytical purposes, including marketing and website analytics, in order to optimize and customize our product, applications en services to your needs, as well as the products and services marketed to you, and to make the mobile applications and websites easier to use;
To provide customer service;
For improved service, when you make calls to our Customer Service Team an automated telephone number detection system to relate your telephone number to your existing account;
Communicating with you by email, mail, phone and Kòrsou Connect message services to handle any requests you have made;
Improving the performance and utility of our services;
Generally managing and administering our business;
Preventing and prosecuting fraud and/or credit risk;
Meeting legal and regulatory requirements;
And any other purpose to which you may consent in the future.

PROVIDE, PERSONALIZE, MEASURE, AND IMPROVE OUR ADVERTISING AND MARKETING

We may use personal information to:

• Send you promotional messages, marketing, advertising, and other information based on your preferences and social media advertising through social media platforms,

• Personalize, measure, and improve our advertising,

• Administer referral programs, rewards, surveys, sweepstakes, contests, or other promotional activities or events sponsored or managed by Kòrsou-Connect or its third-party partners,

• Analyze characteristics and preferences to send you promotional messages, marketing, advertising and other information that we think might be of interest to you, and

• Invite you to events and relevant opportunities.

PROVIDE PAYMENT SERVICES

Personal information is used to enable or authorize third parties to use Payment Services:

• Detect and prevent money laundering, fraud, abuse, security incidents;

• Conduct security investigations and risk assessments;

• Comply with legal obligations (such as anti-money laundering regulations);

• Enforce the Payment Terms and other payment policies;

• With your consent, send you promotional messages, marketing, advertising, and other information that may be of interest to you based on your preferences;

• Provide and improve the Payment Services.

LIMITED TO DISCLOSED PURPOSES

SPECIAL NOTE ON PROFILING

SHARING & DISCLOSURE

SHARING WITH YOUR CONSENT OR AT YOUR DIRECTION

Where you provide consent, we share your information as described at the time of consent, such as when authorizing a third-party application or website to access your Kòrsou Connect account or participating in promotional activities by Kòrsou Connect partners or third parties.

Where permissible with applicable law, we may use certain information about you, such as your email address, de-identify it, and share it with social media platforms, to generate leads, drive traffic to Kòrsou Connect or otherwise promote our products and services.

SHARING BETWEEN MEMBERS

To help facilitate assignment or other interactions between Members, we may need to share certain information such as:

• When an assignment is placed and accepted on the Kòrsou Connect platform, detail information of the assignment as well as the profile of the member will be shared between members, including all profile detail such as name, address, telephone number, email, review information, and other information you choose to share and submit. When an assignment is confirmed and accepted, additional information is shared to assist with the assignment.

• When you as a member connect with another member, your full name, profile details and other related information will be shared with this member.

INFORMATION YOU PUBLISH IN PROFILES, LISTINGS, AND OTHER PUBLIC INFORMATION

You can make certain information publicly visible to others, such as:

• Your public profile page, which includes your profile photo, first name, description, photos belonging to your profile and city or neighborhood;

• Information about assignments such as the assignment detail, precise location description, calendar availability, assignment photos and additional information you choose to share;

• Reviews, ratings and other public feedback;

We may display parts of your public profile and other Content you make available to the public like Listing details on third-party sites, platforms and apps. Information you share publicly on the Kòrsou-Connect Platform may be indexed through third-party search engines.

WHO WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION TO

We will only disclose your personal information in the following circumstances, except as permitted or required by applicable law:

From one Kòrsou Connect Affiliate to another Kòrsou Connect Affiliate to allow Kòrsou Connect Affiliates to offer their products and services to you;
To our members, partners and other third party suppliers, as necessary to provide you with services that you have requested or to fulfil the transactions or assignments you have submitted;
To third party companies and contractors that provide us with services in the conduct of our business ("service providers"), such as payment processing services, information technology services for our software applications, advertising, marketing and survey services and other essential similar services, but only as necessary for those service providers to provide services to us;
To third parties as we deem necessary or appropriate to prevent, limit or otherwise prosecute fraud;
As necessary to meet legal and regulatory requirements;
And any other circumstance in which you provide consent to disclose.

SERVICE PROVIDERS

We share personal information with affiliated and unaffiliated service providers to help us run our business, including service providers that help us: (i) verify your identity or authenticate your identification documents, (ii) check information against public databases, (iii) conduct background or police checks, fraud prevention, and risk assessment, (iv) perform product development, maintenance and debugging, (v) allow the provision of the Kòrsou-Connect Services through third-party platforms and software tools (e.g. through the integration with our APIs), (vi) provide customer service, advertising, or payments services, (vii) process, handle or assess insurance claims or similar claims, or (viii) facilitate non-profit and charitable activities consistent with Kòrsou-Connect ’s mission. These providers are contractually bound to protect your personal information and have access to your personal information to perform these tasks.

We may use and disclose your personal information in connection with the proposed or actual financing, sale or other business transaction involving part or all of our business or assets. Such use and disclosure would be for the purpose of allowing third parties to determine whether to proceed with the proposed transaction, and if the transaction proceeds, for the purpose of completing the transaction. Assignees or successors to our business or assets may use and disclose your personal information for the purposes described in this policy. You can link your Kòrsou-Connect account with certain third-party services like social networks. Your contacts on these third-party services are referred to as “Friends.” When you direct the data sharing by creating this link:

• some of the information provided to us from linking accounts may be published on your public profile;

• your activities on the Kòrsou-Connect Platform may be displayed to your Friends on the Kòrsou-Connect Platform and/or that third-party service,

• a link to your public profile on that third-party service may be included in your Kòrsou-Connect public profile,

• other Kòrsou-Connect users may be able to see any Friends that you may have in common with them, or that you are a Friend of their Friend if applicable,

• other Kòrsou-Connect users may be able to see any placed or executed assignments;

• information you provide to us from the linking of your accounts may be stored, processed and transmitted for fraud prevention and risk assessment purposes.

LINKS TO THIRD PARTY SITES

We may provide links or references to third party sites whose privacy practices may differ from those of Kòrsou Connect. You may navigate to the Kòrsou Connect site through a link from a Partner or other third party site. Kòrsou Connect assumes no responsibility for the content or the privacy policies of those Partner or third party websites. Please be aware that when you follow any links to another site not owned or operated by Kòrsou Connect and submit personal information to any of those sites, you are subject to their privacy policies. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy policy of any website you visit.

SOCIAL MEDIA FEATURES

Our mobile applications and websites may include social media features, such as the Facebook button and widgets, among other things. These features may collect your IP address, track which page you visit on our Sites, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our mobile applications and websites. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy policy of any company that provides the features you choose to interact with.

OTHER DATA PROTECTION LAWS AND PRIVACY POLICIES IMPACTING PERSONAL DATA

Kòrsou Connect, our Partners and our service providers are located in various jurisdictions including, among others, Latin America, The United States and the European Union and, as a result, your personal information may be stored, processed or transferred into or out of these countries. The data protection laws in these countries may be different to those in your country and your information may be subject to access by the regulatory authorities in, and to the laws of, those other jurisdictions.

When you provide personal information to us, we may be required, in order to provide you with services, to provide that personal information to our Partners and other third parties, who provide services accessed through our mobile applications and websites. Those companies are not contractually bound to comply with the Kòrsou Connect privacy policy. Our Partners and other third parties use and disclose your personal information according to their own policies and for their own purposes. We encourage you to read our Partners' privacy policies before obtaining their products or services through our Sites.

In addition, in some circumstances, Kòrsou Connect is not collecting your personal information for Kòrsou Connect use, but instead is acting as a service provider or data processor to one of our Partners. In those circumstances, your personal information is governed by the privacy policy of the Partner.

DATA RETENTION

We will retain your personal information for as long as

Your account is active;
Your personal information is needed to provide you services;
It is necessary to meet legal, regulatory, insurance and audit requirements.

ACCURACY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We will use commercially reasonable efforts to ensure that your personal information is correct, complete and up-to-date to the extent we are notified of any changes by you. YOUR RIGHTS WITH RESPECT TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Please note that we may not be able to provide access to personal information in certain circumstances, such as if the personal information was collected for the purposes of an investigation, if disclosure would reveal the personal information of a third party, or if prohibited by law. RIGHTS OF EUROPEAN DATA SUBJECTS

In addition to rights with respect to your personal data already noted elsewhere in this policy, for those individuals residing in the European Economic Area, you have certain additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

Restrictions on Further Processing

You have the right, where there is a dispute in relation to the accuracy or basis of processing of your personal data, to request a restriction on further processing by us.

DATA ERASURE

In certain jurisdictions, you can request that your personal information be deleted. Please note that if you request the erasure of your personal information:

• We may retain your personal information as necessary for our legitimate business interests, such as prevention of money laundering, fraud detection and prevention, and enhancing safety. For example, if we suspend an Kòrsou-Connect Account for fraud or safety reasons, we may retain information from that Kòrsou-Connect Account to prevent that Member from opening a new Kòrsou-Connect Account in the future.

• We may retain and use your personal information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations. For example, Kòrsou-Connect and Kòrsou-Connect Payments may keep information for tax, legal reporting and auditing obligations.

• Information you have shared with others (e.g., Reviews, forum postings) will continue to be publicly visible on Kòrsou-Connect , even after your Kòrsou-Connect Account is cancelled. However, attribution of such information to you will be removed. Some copies of your information (e.g., log records) will remain in our database, but are disassociated from personal identifiers.

• Because we take measures to protect data from accidental or malicious loss and destruction, residual copies of your personal information may not be removed from our backup systems for a limited period of time.

DATA PORTABILITY

You have the right to request that personal data that you have provided to us be returned to you, or be provided to another third party of your choice.

OPT-OUT OF DIRECT MARKETING / PROFILING

You may elect to “opt out” of direct marketing activities, including any profiling we may conduct for direct marketing purposes. COOKIES AND JSON WEB TOKENS

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user's computer for record-keeping purposes. JSON web tokens, or JWT tokens, are authentication confirmations that are used to authenticate a user. We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies, as well as JWT tokens on our Sites. Session ID cookies expire when you close your browser. CLEAR GIFS

Clear gifs (also known as tracking pixels or web beacons) are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies. They are used to track the online movements of users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user's computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence.

We and our service providers use clear gifs to help us better manage content on our Sites, by informing us what content is effective, and to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and marketing campaigns.
